This Friday, December 7th we are having our Christmas Open House during the monthly Gallery Hop. There will be lots of Christmas goodies, examples of our Holiday Greeting cards and client work from this fall season, as well as a drawing for a $100 gift certificate towards goods and services. The yearbook deadline for JHS Seniors to turn in their portraits is December 7th, so we are running a special to catch those last minute students who still need to get their portraits taken. For $25, we will take the basic yearbook portrait, plus one other look. Come in by November 18th, and we will be able to get your portrait back in time to turn in to the yearbook staff- heck, we’ll even do it for you!

Karen Anderson Designs is proud to host the checkpoint “Women in the Military” display for the “Veterans Remembered” - an event to honor those who have served our country by being in the military. There will be activities, speakers, presentations, and open events at many locations downtown. The event is sponsored by Jacksonville Main Street, and the Jacksonville Journal Courier, and will be the kick-off for fundraising to preserve the Soldiers and Sailors Monument on the square.
We are offering discount portraiture vouchers for Veterans. Restoration services also available with discounts on reprints. Don’t miss out on the “Candy Canon”!

Karen was excited to be asked to take the images for the Jacksonville Journal Courier’s Newspaper in Education 2009 Pet of the Year calendar. She enjoyed having the pets to the studio and interacting with the different animals and experimenting with different techniques to photograph them. We celebrated the debut of the images at the recent November Gallery Hop and currently, the images are still on display at the studio, and can be viewed by appointment.
The calendars will be released on November 18th, 2008. They will be available at the Journal Courier office and at our studio for $3.00 each. Great stocking stuffers and holiday gifts!
We are now introducing our First Year Portrait Club. This allows for you to bring your baby at milestone months, usually either newborn, 4 months, 8 months, 12 months; or 3,6,9, & 12 months. The plan includes your session fees for those sessions, plus a free 5×7 from each session and discounts on the first year panel, and boutique items such as jewelry, bags, and press printed cards.
